BOTH Arbroath RNLI lifeboats were called out this afternoon (Wednesday) to the town’s cliffs area.
The boats were launched at the request of HM Coastguard following reports of an incident in the area.
The all-weather lifeboat, RNLB Inchape and inshore lifeboat, the Duncan Ferguson were
launched at approximately 12.40 p.m.
However, both were quickly stood down once it had been established that there was no further need for the lifeboats to be in attendance.
