A national autism charity has benefited thanks to the fast fists and fancy footwork of a courageous Arbroath fund-raiser.
Ewan Twaddle presented the charity Scottish Autism with a cheque for £545 following his winning bout at the Arbroath Charity Boxing on Sunday, July 14.
A personal connection with autism caused Ewan to pick Scottish Autism as the benefactor from his fund-raising fight.
He said: “It was great to be able to present Scottish Autism with this money as I know from both professional and personal experience how hard they work to reach everyone affected by autism in Scotland.
“Many families struggling with normal, day to day activities would not be able to cope without the charity’s invaluable work.”
Shona Sinclair, fund-raising manager (interim) for Scottish Autism said: “We are so grateful to ‘Arbroath Charity Boxing’ for raising this money for Scottish Autism.
“We support children and adults with autism and run services across Scotland. Our vision is to reach everyone living with autism in Scotland and enable them to lead happy and fulfilled lives.”
