AN ARBROATH lad will be hot footing it to raise money for an animal sanctuary today (Friday).
Jack Spink (17) will take part in a firewalking fund-raising event for the Mountains Animal Sanctuary at Milton of Ogil, Glenogil, near Forfar.
The sanctuary is the largest centre for the re-homing and adoption of horses, ponies and donkeys in Scotland.
Jack has been a supporter of the charity for several years and is looking forward to the challenge.
He said: “I’ve been supporting the Mountains Animal Shelter since I was 11 and they got hold of me and asked me if I wanted to take part.
“I’ve never actually done it before, I’ve got to do two hours training for it. Yes, I’m really looking forward to it. It should be fun.”
The event will be run by professional firewalking firm Blaze, which has a 100 per cent safety record and 25 years experience. Anyone who wishes to sponsor Jack should contact him on 01241 431772.
