Tonight (Friday) is the night that Christmas officially makes its mark on Arbroath with the annual festive lights switch on.
From 6 until 8pm, the public are invited to wrap up warm and join The LimeLight Company in Kirk Square for musical entertainment, special guests and of course the grand lights switch on at 7pm.
LimeLight founders Mike Carlin and Chris O’Mara have stepped in this year to ensure the town is lit up in suitably festive fashion.
A full programme of events suitable for all the family has been promised to get you into the Christmas spirit.
Mike said: “LimeLight Events have been working hard to ensure they’re not on the naughty list this year, with a magical Christmas event for young and old.
“With our dancing elves, ‘Frozen’ friends, Arbroath Pipe Band and of course, Santa himself, you’ll be treated to lots of festive fun - with special performances by Showcase the Street and The LimeLight Company kids!
“We’ll be carolling together, with songs old and new, and sharing this Christmas Light Night with our community!
“We hope to see you all there - and don’t forget to keep sharing and spreading the word!”
Make sure to wrap up warm and bring the whole family to the Arbroath Christmas Light Night!
The Arbroath Town Centre Retailers’ Association have a planned event for next year with more people helping.
The LimeLight Company has run a number of successful themed events recently, including a Hallowe’en zombie run and a ColourFest family fun run.
Founders Chris and Mike were also recently recognised with an award for their civic spirit by the inaugural Radio Tay Awards.
They were presented with an award for Outstanding Contribution to the Community.
