PROPOSALS for a wind farm to be located off the coast of Arbroath would not mean a cable being installed between the town and Carnoustie.
A spokesman representing the companies involved in the Inchcape development said: “Last week it was reported that the Inchcape offshore wind project proposal was to connect to the grid via a cable which would meet land on the Angus coast and run through farm land, housing and golf courses in Angus connecting to the grid at Tealing.
“This is incorrect. The Inchcape offshore wind farm has been offered a grid connection at Cockenzie, East Lothian, and the cable will not therefore make landfall in Angus nor cross any land in Angus.
