An Arbroath man and his smokies have been chosen to feature on a new tourism poster showcasing the food and drink highlights of Scotland.
Arbroath Smokie producer Ian R. Spink will appear in the new set of posters which have been commissioned by the Scottish Government to mark 2015, the Year of Food and Drink.
Angus South MSP Graeme Dey welcomed the inclusion of one of his constituents in the national campaign.
He said: “In this, Scotland’s Year of Food and Drink, I am delighted that one of the first images people from all over the world will see when they arrive at Scotland’s six main airports, is that of Ian R. Spink and Arbroath Smokies.
“Tourism is an important industry in Angus South, and the Smokie is iconic to the area. It is great that this promotional opportunity is being afforded to us.”
