A SCOTTISH charity dedicated to improving health will be giving a special talk in Arbroath next week.
The McCarrison Society for Nutrition and Health will hold a recorded presentation entitled ‘Diet and Disease’ at St Andrew’s Church hall on Tuesday (June 28) at 7.30 p.m.
The talk will advise listeners on how best to improve their digestive health, and the organisers say that an hour of your time here could add years to your life.
The powerpoint presentation will be narrated by Maurice J.N. Frohn FRCS, a consultant surgeon specialising in diseases of the digestive tract.
The presentation will feature colour slides taken during some of his operations and demonstrate the catastrophic effect that refined foods can have on the human body.
The talk is designed to appeal to the average layperson with an interest in health and the talk is not full of medical jargon and hard to follow, but rather is quite cheerful given the topic.
The talk will be introduced by Elizabeth and Neville Gay who made the original recording of Mr Frohn some years ago and are now touring the country giving presentations with his permission.
The talk lasts approximately an hour, with questions being taken afterwards along with refreshments.
The doors open at 7 p.m. and entrance is free, but a donation would be appreciated, call 01241 872614 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
