The banners are out again for this year’s charity beer festival, hosted by Dundee Round Table.
Carol O’Neill, welfare rights co-ordinator at Dundee Carers helped Brian Kidd and Steven Sim from Dundee Round Table to hang the banners yesterday at prominent locations in Broughty Ferry.
On June 12 to 14, Forthill Sports Club will host Dundee Round Table’s annual beer festival.
Local businesses generously sponsor the event, which allows profits taken on the weekend to go straight to charity.
This year the main benefactor will be the Dundee Carers Centre, who work to improve the lives of carers and disabled people in the City. In their 25th anniversary year it is fitting that they should be the chosen charity!
Forthill Sports Club are laying on a family day of activities on the Saturday, and live music, food, and a large selection of beers, ciders and wine will be available throughout the weekend.
Beers like ‘Sticky Wicket’ and ‘Bad to the Bone’ are to feature, while ‘The Graham Brown Band’ and ‘Tuxedos’ are two of the many bands that will be playing the festival.
Advance tickets are on sale online at www.thedundeebeerfestival.co.uk at 20 per cent below prices ‘on the door’.
For a chance to win a pair of day entry tickets simply post a ‘selfie’ to the Dundee Round Table Facebook page of you standing at one of the banners.
The winner will be drawn at random. The website also has the full list of beers and ciders, full band listing, and links to the sponsors of the event.
Like last year it is hoped that the attendance will again be great and that thousands of pounds can again be raised for charity.
