Good darts score pays off for charities

AN ARBROATH girl raised a total of £700 for two local causes in an unusual way.

Schoolgirl Dionne Geddes recently held an eight hour darts marathon in the Commercial Inn and raised an impressive £700.

The money will be shared by the Bruce Road Community Flat and 45 Commando Veterans who will each receive £350.

Arbroath solicitor Nick Whelan donated in absentia a further £500 to the Bruce Road Community Flat.
