This week was the last chance for people in Arbroath to donate a little something to those who need it most. Stewart Milne Homes set up a Giving Tree appeal at their Monarch’s Rise showhome where they were collecting and distributing presents to a nearby Angus Foodbank. Tags are hung on a Christmas tree for people to pick up, purchase a present for an individual, and return it to the tree. These are then collected by Stewart Milne Homes and donated to Angus Foobank to be giving out to who might otherwise have a gift-less Christmas. On Friday, Alf Collington, from Angus Foodbank visited the giving tree at the showhome in Arbroath to see the gifts already donated. He said: “The Giving Tree is a fantastic idea and we’re thrilled that Stewart Milne Homes wanted to support our foodbank. Christmas can be a hard time for our visitors so we’re sure the gifts donated will bring a smile to their face. The people of Arbroath have been extremely generous and we can’t thank Stewart Milne Homes for setting this up.”
