Girl rescued in Carnoustie sea drama

A TEENAGER was pulled from the sea off Carnoustie after getting into difficulties last night (Monday).

At around 8.30 p.m. a 13-year-old female was rescued by the Arbroath Lifeboat crew from the water near the town’s Beach Park.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 8.30 p.m., Police Scotland Dundee received a call from the Coastguard stating they were attending a report of a 13-year-old female in the water near to Beach Park in Carnoustie.

“The Inshore Lifeboat was launched from Arbroath and police, ambulance and helicopter attended.

“The Lifeboat crew successfully retrieved a female from the water, and she is currently receiving medical treatment at Ninewells Hospital.”
