A group of Arbroath pals are going that extra mile to help a friend by cycling to

St Andrews and back this

weekend.

Over 30 people will be taking to two wheels tomorrow (Saturday) in aid of their friend Scott Robertson who suffers from Muscular Dystrophy (MD).

The aim of the sponsored bike run is to purchase a new wheelchair for Scott to enhance his quality of life.

Scott Mcleud has been organising the event: “Through the NHS you don’t get these kinds of wheelchairs so there’s 30 of us doing a sponsored bike ride from Arbroath to St Andrews and back.

“Scott and his wife have a child already and they are unexpectedly expecting twins so we’re getting him this wheelchair to give him a bit more independence.

“He doesn’t really have any independence at the moment, he needs helped in and out of the house and the car, but this wheelchair will help that.”
