YOUNG readers in Angus are in for a special treat this month at a host of meet-the-author sessions at Angus Council libraries.
The ‘Fun with stories’ programme will allow younger children to interact with the authors of their favourite books.
Tomorrow (Saturday) John Fardell, author of the award-winning picture book ‘Manfred the Baddie’ will visit Montrose Library to meet primary one to three children.
The following Saturday (March 16), Natalie Russell, author and illustrator of the ‘Hamish the Highland Cow’ series will be at Carnoustie Library for a story and drawing session for primary one to threes.
On March 23, Edinburgh-based storyteller Eric Brennan will meet with creative primary four to sevens at Arbroath Library.
Sessions are free and are supported by the Scottish Book Trust and run from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. All are welcome, including library members and non-members as well as those who completed the Summer Reading Challenge 2012.
