ON FRIDAY Arbroath Academy pupils were out raising money with their own version of a popular fund-raising event.

Home economics teacher Hayley McDonald explained: “You’ll have heard of the ‘Race for Life’, well, we’re having at the school a ‘Race at your place’ and we’ve got all the staff and pupils involved.

“We’ve also got Radio North Angus providing music and some of the kids are taking a turn at DJ-ing.”

A track was marked out around the school and pupils made a donation to take part in the event which was in aid of Cancer Research.
