ARBROATH FC’s chairman has revealed that two famous ex-Lichties will be joining the top table for their annual Sportsman’s Dinner.
Chairman John Christieson told the Arbroath Herald that in addition to two ex-players attending that high ticket sales meant there were only a handful left for the dinner next week.
He said: “Tickets are just about sold out and we are delighted that the top table will include Craig Hinchcliffe and John MacAulay.
“Over 200 places have already been booked which is excellent.”
Craig is renowned as the Arbroath goalkeeper with the most league appearances since the Second World War and John was the last Arbroath player to receive a testimonial match at Gayfield.
The dinner will be held in the Meadowbank Inn on Friday, April 5, with Des McKeown serving as master of ceremonies and speakers Donald Findlay QC and Duncan McKenzie, formerly of Nottingham Forrest and Leeds United.
The evening starts at 7.30 p.m. and tickets are priced at £40.
For tickets call Malcolm Fairweather on 07770663928 or contact the Gayfield office on 01241 872157.
