ARBROATH’S 45 Commando Veterans Association presented two cheques to the value of £100 each to worthwhile causes.

The Bruce Road Community Flat in Arbroath received the first cheque which they plan to use on kitting out their football team.

The second cheque was then presented to Doggie Day Care in Montrose, who will use the donation to improve the facilities for the dogs they look after.

Also being praised was schoolgirl Dionne Geddes who received a teddy bear dressed in a full Marine uniform after she raised funds at the recent Arbroath Sea Fest.
