A number of Angus eateries have been announced as finalists in the various categories of the third annual Food Awards Scotland.
The success of The Food Awards has been national over the past few years, with event organisers Creative Oceanic having delivered the awards in Scotland, England, Wales, London and Northern Ireland.
The awards aim to recognise the hard work and efforts of the Scottish food industry. Accolades include restaurants, takeaways, gastro pubs, hotel restaurants, cafes and bistros, as well as shine the spotlight on the local producers who supply their delicious ingredients.
On the list from our area are as follows: Franco’s Cafe, Carnoustie - Cafe / Bistro of the Year; Lochlands Mill Cafe, Forfar - Cafe / Bistro of the Year; Titanic Pizza Co., Carnoustie - Takeaway of the Year; Keptie Bakery - Bakery of the Year; McIntosh of Strathmore, Forfar, Best Chilled Food Supplier.
The Crowne Plaza, Glasgow will play host to the black tie ceremony taking place on August 15.
Recognising the very best in the food industry, the evening promises to grow and be the biggest in the Scottish food calendar.
