Fancy getting into the Christmas spirit this weekend and doing something healthy and good for charity at the same time?

The first Cancer Research UK Santa Dash will take place in the town on Sunday and there is still plenty of time to sign up for the event, even on the day!

The event starts at Arbroath Abbey on Sunday, December 4, at 10am and continues down the High Street, along Victoria Park to the cliffs where a hot drink and Santa will be waiting for Dashers. All participants get their own Santa suit.

Alana Loudon from the Angus Committee of Cancer Research UK said: “The organisers are very excited about the first Cancer Research UK Santa Dash and would like to say thank you to all the Dashers who have already signed up and to emphasise that they can still sign up on the day. Just come along to Arbroath Abbey before the event.

“The event is open to everyone: grannies and granddads can bring their grandchildren, put on their Santa suits and walk, run, skip or dance along the route to see Santa and to get a present for the children.

“We would like to invite everyone to support the first Angus Santa Dash for such a worthwhile cause to come along and start the festive season in a fun, different way.”
