The wait is finally over, the grand prize draw which has raised £1000 for the 2017 fireworks display is happening on Sunday.
The grand prize draw raffle, which attracted a huge response in donations from local businesses, organisations and individuals will be dished out to some very fortunate winners at the St Andrew’s Church Hall, Hamilton Green, between 2 and 4pm.
CNG Design kindly donated this year’s star prize, a £500 voucher to use in store on any of their bathrooms, kitchens or bedrooms and more than 100 other prizes were donated ranging from vouchers for meals and beauty treatments to cinema tickets, pies, gym memberships and alcohol.
The Rev. Martin Fair will be making the draw on Sunday and there will be a Facebook Live feed of the event on the Herald Facebook page.
Fireworks for Arbroath chair Karren Cuthill said: “We are delighted that the raffle has managed to raise £1000 for next year’s display and we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated or bought a ticket. Every penny counts, even this early in next year’s campaign!
“We’re excited to see who comes away with the top prize, thanks to CNG Design, and we are sure there will be plenty of very happy people on Sunday afternoon!”
The committee also wished to announce that the Round O chip shop had renewed its sponsorship deal for a second year.
This year the Round O sponsored a banner and also purchased a job lot of glow toys to sell on behalf of Fireworks for Arbroath.
