Firefighters’ efforts to raise charity cash

FOUR members of Blue Watch at Arbroath Fire Station are taking on a charity challenge with a difference this summer.

On July 14, Alan Soutar, Henry Hay, Dave McLean and Adam Norval will be taking part in ‘Tough Mudder’, an 11-mile obstacle course in Dumfries through ice cold water, mud, fire and electroshocks.

They are undertaking the organised torture to raise funds for the Firefighters’ Charity.

Tomorrow (Saturday) firefighters will undertake a fund-raising car wash in the Asda/B&Q car park between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. They are hoping for good support from the community.
