The time is fast approaching for the members of Arbroath-based Abbey Theatre Club to head to this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Ham-A-Lot are taking spoof thriller ‘Whodidit?’ by Neil Harrison to the Fringe next month, and if their fund-raising shows are anything to go by it will be a riot.
The play is a parody of a country house murder mystery which takes a new and ridiculous look at the usual suspects.
There is the arrogant novelist husband, his absurdly conventional little woman, the brash, sherry-swilling sister, the octogenarian wheel-chair bound uncle, the foreign butler and a host of period stereotypes sent up in truly hilarious fashion.
As the characters are knocked off one by one it falls to the batty Inspector to solve the case, if he can resist the innuendos long enough to investigate properly!
‘Whodidit?’ will be appearing in Theatre One at The Spaces at The Royal College of Surgeons (Venue 53).
There will be previews on August 2 and 3, and it will then run from August 5 to 10 at 1.45 p.m.
Tickets are £6 for the preview and £8 for the regular shows. To book contact the venue on 0131 5102384 or email email@example.com or to do it through the official Fringe box office call 0131 2260000 or visit www.edfringe.com
