Inverkeilor folk are being given one last chance to come forward and save the village hall’s popular events calendar.
In a recent Herald article the Inverkeilor Village Hall committee announced that the fireworks display had been cancelled due to a lack of support to run it and that the Hogmanay Dance could suffer the same fate if residents did not volunteer to help with putting on events.
However, response to their plight was negligible, so the committee has issued a final plea for help.
A spokesperson for the committee said: “The Inverkeilor Village Hall committee has issued a ‘final call’ to the locals, to come together and save the popular village events, which include the ‘at risk’ Hogmanay Dance.
“Locals are therefore invited to come along to the Village Hall on Thursday, November 6, at 7.30 p.m., to pledge their support to the committee and ensure that this year, the village will have a communal point to come together to see in 2015, and start as they mean to go on, supporting their local hall.”
The village hall can be found on Station Road.
