AN ARBROATH charity has thanked all their supporters for another successful year of fund-raising.
A spokesperson for the Arbroath Ladies’ Lifeboat Guild said: “On behalf of ourselves and the lifeboat crew we would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout 2011.
“Despite these hard financial times your generosity has been amazing and has made this one of the most successful years ever.”
Last week the RNLI shop closed for the winter, but is expected to re-open early in 2012, fully re-stocked.
Fortunately, for those who perhaps left Christmas to the last minute, stocking fillers and Christmas cards are still available by contacting shop manager May Gerrard.
A few copies of the official Year of the Light DVD showing footage from inside the Bell Rock are still available, and are priced at £5 each.
The next meeting of the Ladies’ Guild will be 10 a.m. on Monday January 30, in the Sea Cadet Hall.
Final arrangements will discussed on the SOS ‘Swirl Our Skirts’ ceilidh fund-raiser at the Meadowbank Inn on February 18.
Tickets are £8 and are available from president Barbara Cargill on 01241 872097.
The spokesperson for the guild added: “From all the members of the Arbroath Ladies’ Lifeboat Guild, we wish all and everyone who has supported the Arbroath RNLI in 2011 a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year.”
