ARBROATH Ladies’ Lifeboat Guild is betting on a good turnout for their Race Night next month.
The event will be held at the Meadowbank Inn on Friday, September 21, with doors opening at 7.15 p.m. for a 7.45 p.m. race start.
A spokesperson for the Guild said: “Absolutely no experience is necessary as you will be talked through the art of ‘The Turf’ by the friendly experts on hand.”
Tickets are £3, which includes a plate of stovies and are available now from any guild member.
Following the success of last year’s ‘Brew with the crew’ the Arbroath Lifeboat crew have decided to hold another open day at the Lifeboat Shed on Sunday, September 9, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The public will have the opportunity to meet the volunteers and see ‘The Inchcape’ and ‘Duncan Ferguson’ up close and personal without the need to get wet!
The Ladies’ Lifeboat Guild will also be on hand to provide refreshments in the form of shortbread biscuits and hot drinks.
