Arbroath Fairtrade Action Group is looking for a baker to represent the town against bakers from other towns in Angus.
The winner of the final heat at Forfar Market on September 14 will receive a food hamper.
On August 31 at 10.30 a.m., St John’s Methodist Church is holding a coffee morning to provide a venue for bakers to bring along their produce. Katie Anderson from Angus College has agreed to act as a judge on the day.
There are three categories for the baking: scones/buns; fruit loaves; and cakes. It is important that the bake contains one Fairtrade product and one local.
There is also a children’s section. Katie will select an overall winner who will bake again and take their bake to Forfar in September.
