AN ARBROATH runner who completed his eighth London Marathon in April handed over a cheque for over £1,000 on Tuesday night.
Ewan Rae (52) ran all 26 miles around the nation’s capital for the Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool which cares for very sick children.
He chose the charity as it is a cause close to the heart of his friend, former Arbroath FC player Danny Powell.
Danny’s daughter, Elise, has been cared for at the hospital and Ewan wanted to raise funds for the facility.
And on Tuesday he handed over a cheque for £1,196 to Danny and Elise, who will then pass it on to the hospital.
