Conservation areas consultation

ANGUS Council is running a public consultation to review three conservation areas in Arbroath.

The process allows the opportunity for members of the public to review proposed boundary changes and associated documents and to provide an opportunity for comment.

Members of the public will be able to have their say on the three areas: Arbroath Abbey to the Harbour, Keptie Pond and West Port.

The consultation began last Monday and will run until January 23. A display indicating the amended boundaries is on show at Arbroath Library and also at County Buildings, Market Street, Forfar, during business hours.

It will also be on the Have Your Say section of the council’s website at http://www.angus.gov.uk/publicconsultation.htm. A public meeting to discuss the proposals will be held in Arbroath in January.

The documents produced will inform residents about the special needs and characteristics of the area and help developers identify and formulate development proposals. Anyone wishing to discuss the conservation area reviews then you can contact Kirsty Macari, conservation planning officer, on 01307 473265 or e-mail macarik@angus.gov.uk
