An Arbroath teenager is hosting a bingo night next week to raise money for her humanitarian teaching trip to Africa this summer.
Karina Rattray (17), a pupil at Arbroath High School has organised a prize bingo night in the Royal British Legion Scotland, Helen Street, at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 27. It is in aid of her trip to Ghana later this summer and represents the last hurdle in her campaign to raise the necessary funds.
Karina said: “Hopefully it will be the last one as if it is as successful as the last one it will complete my fund-raising goal as I only have £550 left to reach my £5,500 goal. I will be teaching in three different schools in Lolobi Ashiambi in the west of the country and will be teaching a variety of subjects including maths, English, science and IT.”
