ANGUS College students jetted off last week to sunny Tenerife on a placement to prepare them for working in the Spanish tourist industry.
During their first week the six hairdressing, six beauty therapy and five hospitality students attended the Maria Perez Trujillo College in Puerta de la Cruz to learn Spanish in preparation for working in local salons and restaurants.
Their second week will be spent working with businesses in Puerto de la Cruz, giving them an excellent opportunity to show off their skills and hone their Spanish.
Leading the trip is Angus College hairdressing lecturer Noreen Sturrock, she said: “All the students are really enthusiastic about this trip and have been working hard to prepare by taking lunch time language lessons in the run up to their departure.
“The trip gives the students a chance to travel and to gain some great salon experience which will look really impressive to a future employer.”
