Teri wins Angus Book Award at Arbroath High

The final of the Angus Book Awards 2013 organised by Angus Council education department was held in Arbroath High School on Wednesday evening.

This year’s winner is Teri Terry with her book ‘Slated’.

She said: “I am absolutely thrilled to win the Angus Book Award tonight. I’ve had a fantastic time in Angus.”

The unsuccessful finalists were Tim Bowler with ‘Buried Thunder’, published by Oxford University Press; William Osborne with ‘Hitler’s Angel’, published by Chicken House; and Chris Priestly with ‘Mister Creecher’, published by Bloomsbury.

Angus Book Awards is held annually and pupils from across the county vote for their favourite book.
