STUDENTS from Angus College have just completed a community project on Hill Street in Arbroath.

The NC introduction to construction students spent five weeks stripping and painting the entrance, stairwell and main hall of the Panmure Lodge to reveal a fresh new look.

This project presented many challenges for the students as the lodge had not been decorated in over 20 years.

Painting and decorating students will be given the opportunity to return to the lodge and continue their work on other rooms which require a facelift.

Painting and decorating tutor George Brown said: “The NC introduction to construction course creates a lot of opportunities to work on great projects within the local community.

“We look for new projects every year and this one has been a great experience for our students who have done a fantastic job in really transforming the lodge.”

“This is just one of the many valuable experiences which can be gained through the NC construction course.”
