ANGUS Council has revealed the consultation dates for parents and the wider community to have their say on the Arbroath Schools Project.
As reported earlier this month, the local authority is asking local people for their views on how best to improve the town’s 10 primary school buildings.
The consultation comes after earlier plans to close and merge both Muirfield and Timmergreens Primaries was axed by Angus Council’s SNP administration.
There are four options those taking part in the survey will be quizzed on.
These are maintenance and repairs to all schools, a combination of maintenance and repairs and refurbishment and a combination of new build/refurbishment and maintenance and repairs.
Workshops will take place later this month and next, at which local people can find out more about the options, and their impact on the burgh’s primary school buildings.
The workshops, which are open to everyone, will involve a briefing by council officers, small informal discussion groups and the opportunity to give feedback and ask questions.
Parent and carers and members of the local community, can attend whichever event suits them best.
The dates are:
Arbirlot, Carmyllie and Colliston – Monday, September 17 at 7 p.m. in Carmyllie Primary School. Muirfield – Thursday, September 20 at 7 p.m. in Muirfield Primary School.
