Pupils at Inverbrothock Primary School have established links with a local business by creating their own flavour of link sausages.

Primary 4 pupils teamed up with Fleming’s Butchers as part of their food and advertising topic.

Teacher Lois Cathro explained: “Guthrie Batchelor of Fleming’s and myself planned the sausage project for the children.

“In class, we created a new sausage flavour and designed a poster to go with it.

“The entries were given to Guthrie who chose the three he thought would taste the best.

“From there, he made the three flavours of sausage, cooked them and brought them to the school for the children to taste.

“After the children tried them, they voted for their favourite.

“The winner was The Great Haggis Sausage.”

Fleming’s are selling the winning sausage until Saturday (December 3) in both their stores.

Lois added: “It’s been so nice creating local business links with the school and the children have absolutely loved having the opportunity to be a part of the project. They will now be designing posters to put up in the shop windows to promote their sausage.”
