A wedding dress worn by a bride married in Arbroath over 60 years ago has been added to the collection at the Signal Tower Museum.
The dress, made from parachute silk belonged to Marion Joan Gardiner, who married Arbroath man Andrew Gilbert Halliday at Inverbrothock Baptist Church on December 22, 1951. One of their bridesmaids was well-known local artist Irene Halliday.
The couple then moved down south to Luton but their daughter, who lives in Surrey has donated the dress to the museum and is delighted to see it safely back in Arbroath.
It will be on display until the end of September and the museum is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
