The Arbroath Fireworks Appeal has received a generous donation from a local eaterie.

The Bellrock Restaurant at Ladyloan has presented the group with £500.

This has helped the fund top the £1,000 mark with more fund-raising events on the agenda. The appeal is to provide Arbroath with a fireworks display it can be proud of is going from strength to strength.

Organiser Karren Cuthill said: “The Bellrock Restaurant has made an extremely kind donation of £500.

“In addition, we are having a bucket collection on Saturday, February 28, at Gayfield, and have a street collection licence for Arbroath on Saturday, March 7. We now have £1,065 in the bank. We also have bag packing days later in the year in both Morrisons and Asda.

“We would like to thank everyone for their continuing support and also for the kind gifts we have received for raffle prizes. We hope the public will continue to be generous.”
