The demolition of empty council flats in Arbroath’s abbey quarter continues apace as this image at Smithy Croft shows.

Safedem are bringing down the four unpopular blocks for Angus Council to make way for 42 new energy efficient council homes for social rent at Guthrie Hill and Smithy Croft.

With Arbroath Abbey’s historic and cultural importance, the project will improve the area, deliver high quality low rise housing that is sympathetic to its surroundings and improve access to the abbey and High Street.
