Take to your bike and you could raise money for The Honeypot Children’s Charity by entering the Bike Visibility cycling challenge.

Since 1996 The Honeypot Charity has been working to enhance the lives of vulnerable children and young carers aged from five to 12 years by providing respite breaks and on-going outreach support.

Honeypot gives young carers a break from demanding and stressful responsibilities at home and provides a safe, nurturing environment where children at risk can develop their full potential.

To coincide with the first anniversary of London 2012, Bike Visibility is two weeks of fun and photos on wheels. Just hop on your bike any time between August 12 and 25 wherever you are in the UK.

This is a challenge that anyone with a bike and a mobile ‘phone can participate in. Simply download the endomondo app to a mobile ‘phone, join the challenge and go out cycling on a ride and start raising money.

Bike rides can be taken anywhere in the UK, even on holiday, commuting by bike to work for the two weeks or simply going on rides with friends and family at the weekends.

Cycled mileage is logged onto the endomondo.com9 leaderboard where contestants can view their on-going status.

Two lucky winners will scoop some fantastic prizes thanks to event sponsors The Bakewell Soap Company, athlete store and Primal Wear Europe. The challenge starts on Monday, August 12, and ends on Sunday, August 25, with winners being announced on September 1.

It is free to enter and open to UK residents. For more details and to book your spot, simply register at www.bakewellsoap.co.uk
