CURVES in Arbroath may be helping some to shed the pounds but are appealing for people to donate a bag of groceries.
Throughout March Curves is running its annual food drive which sees new members give a bag of non perishable groceries when joining that weigh one pound.
This year all donations will be given to the Food Parcel Project, which is a local charity which has been based in the Old and Abbey Church for the past six years.
They help local families who are struggling to get by and give them a food parcel.
The project relies solely on donations from the public and other churches in the area.
Curves will also be collecting food tomorrow (Saturday) at Asda.
