Police probe town incidents

POLICE officers in Arbroath are again appealing for witnesses or anybody who has any information regarding the following crimes to come forward and contact Tayside Police on the non emergency contact number of 0300 111 2222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and assist them with their enquiries. Please quote the crime number shown at the top of the crime article.

On the evening of Wednesday, April 18, a male was assaulted outside the Co-operative store, Mayfield Terrace, Arbroath.

The male responsible is described as 15-to-16-years-old and has short fair hair. At the time of the assault he was wearing a white and blue striped T-shirt.

Anyone with information regarding this male or who may have witnessed the assault are asked to contact Tayside Police at Arbroath police Station or make contact with any police officer.

CR/12209/12: Between late evening on Monday, April 16, and early morning Tuesday, April 17, a house in Strathairlie Avenue, Arbroath, was broken into and various items of property stolen.

Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious should contact Tayside Police at Arbroath police Station or make contact with any police officer.

CR/12344/12: Between 5 and 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18, a theft occurred within the Saltire Centre, Arbroath. Anyone who was at or near the centre at that time and saw anything suspicious is asked to Tayside Police at Arbroath police Station or make contact with any police officer.
