Officers investigating a brace of high value thefts on board trains between Dundee and Stonehaven have issued an image of a man they are keen to speak to.
British Transport Police (BTP) officers investigating two high-value thefts on board trains travelling between Dundee and Stonehaven during October have today released a CCTV image of a man, as it is believed he may be able to assist with their enquiries.
The incidents occurred on Tuesday, October 20, and Wednesday, October 21, 2015, both at around 10.50pm from the Edinburgh to Aberdeen service at Stonehaven.
One of the items stolen was a rare and valuable woodwind instrument.
Officers are keen to speak to the man shown in the image. He was travelling on both services and alighted from the trains at Stonehaven. He is described as being aged in his late 30s, slim build, clean shaven and with short brown/greying hair. He was wearing a dark jacket, denim trousers and was carrying a dark rucksack.
