Appeal after assaulted man sustains broken jaw

POLICE in Arbroath are appealing for witnesses following an assault on a 30-year-old man in Albert Street at about 2.15 a.m. this morning (Friday, May 25).

The victim suffered a fractured jaw as a result of the assault.

Officers are keen to trace two men between 18 and 25-years-old who were seen in the area at the time.

The first man is described as being of medium build and at the time of the incident was wearing a grey-coloured hooded top.

The other man is described as being of slim build and wearing a purple-coloured hooded top.

Anyone who saw the assault or knows who the men are, should contact Tayside Police on 0300 111 222.
