Couple’s appeal for camera

TAYSIDE Police are appealing for information that could result in a camcorder and, more importantly, its precious footage being returned to a pair of Arbroath newlyweds.

The happy couple tied the knot at Forbes of Kingennie, near Monifieth, on Saturday, October 8, and enjoyed a wedding reception at the venue with invited guests.

Later that night, the couple and some of their guests were bused to the Carnoustie Hotel, arriving at about 1 a.m. to retire for the evening.

The couple checked out at around 8 a.m. on Sunday, October 9, and unwittingly left behind their silver-coloured camcorder and charger contained in a blue canvas camera bag.

Sadly, checks by the couple and hotel staff have failed to locate the camera, leaving the them despondent at losing not just the £500 camera, but more importantly, the record of their happy day.

Tayside Police would appeal to anyone who can help to trace the camera and have it returned to its rightful owners to contact 0300 111 2222, or speak to any officer.
