CHEQUES totalling over £1,800 each were handed over to two charities thanks to a series of concerts that were held in Arbroath recently.
The ‘That’s Life’ charity gigs were performed at the Meadowbank Inn by local crooners Doug Ford, Alan Mowatt and Stuart Cargill.
The popular concerts featured songs from the rat pack era, with entertainment also provided by master of ceremonies, Matt Paterson and comedian Frank Murray.
The proceeds of the concerts added up to £1,813 for each charity and the cash was handed over to both Macmillan Cancer Support and the British Heart Foundation.
Due to the popularity of the ‘That’s Life’ concerts, the entertainers are organising further charity gigs for 2013.
