ART STUDENTS at Angus College hosted an opening evening of their exhibition on Thursday marking the culmination of a year filled with hard work which has produced a wide range of impressive artworks.

The students invited individuals to preview the gallery and celebrate the student’s achievements throughout the year.

Following the opening evening, the HNC contemporary art students are inviting the public to view the exhibition which will be open for one week at Arbroath Public Library, Hill Terrace.

This year there is a green theme running through all the artists’ works as they have explored methods of using recycled and eco friendly materials.

Angus College art and design course leader Fergus McLachlan said: “The artworks featured in the exhibition reflect the diversity of artistic styles which have developed within this HNC class. I would encourage members of the public to come along to the exhibition and view the impressive works on display.”

Local students exhibiting include: Amal Armstrong, Jackie Henderson, Bradley Martin, Jo McKenzie, Caeleigh Ramage and Christina Vernon.
