A Blast from the Past Festival, in aid of the Scottish Association for Mental Health, is taking place at Coast Nightclub on Saturday, September 26. Promoters Andrew McDonald and Andy Willbourn told the Herald: “The festival is in memory of the Viewfield Hotel which has recently been knocked down, and the local bands that played there during the years.”
Acts performing from (1pm -11.45pm) include: PMX, Segaboy, Violent Relapse, Dirtbox, Crashdown, Third Floor Incident, Lights Out Dresden, The Trade, Rage Against Timmy Mallet, Maxwell’s Dead, Mad Rivers. Clubnight: Silibil + Guests (12-2am) follows.
Andrew continued: “The event is sold out. All profits will be donated to the Scottish Association For Mental Health. Due to the help I have received in coping and living with this illness, I have decided to give something back and I’m trying to highlight how important SAMH is in tackling mental health issues in Scotland.”
