ARBROATH Bowling Club which is celebrating its 150th anniversary presented a cheque for £2,000 to the Children’s Hospice Appeal Scotland (CHAS) at their final invitational game played at the Dishlandhill green at the weekend.

The money was raised from the various clubs which had played in the invitation games. They were asked to donate to the charity rather than bring gifts.

The money raised was handed over by the president, Joe McKelvie, to North of Scotland fund-raising representative Sarah Secombes.
