Members of the Arbroath Male Voice Choir took a break in their hectic rehearsal schedule for their spring concert with soprano Melanie Gowie, to present a cheque for £200 to the Round O Kid’s Chorus.

Choir president Gordon Law said: “The Round O Kid’s Chorus sang at our Christmas concert and we were impressed with the youngster’s dedication and enthusiasm for singing. Our members felt we should do something to support our fellow music makers. Music should be part of every child’s education, its good for brain development and is a universal language.”

Arbroath Male Voice Choir is currently in rehearsals for their concert with Melanie Gowie in the Webster Memorial Theatre on March 20. Melanie is a star of the West End stage and recently made her operatic debut. The choir has a wide selection of music on their programme for the evening.

Tickets priced £15 are available from the Webster Memorial Theatre box office in person or by ‘phone on 01241 435800.
