The parents of comatose Arbroath toddler Cally Simpson have spoken about her continuing physical recovery in hospital.

Kate Miller and Steven Simpson made a joint post on the Saving Cally Simpson Facebook page yesterday (Tuesday) giving details of her improving condition.

They described how the four-year-old had been taken off her ventilator for five hours to breathe on her own and was also dressed and sat up in a chair by her parents.

The toddler was on holiday with her father in Spain when she was found unconscious in their hotel swimming pool in June.

After a fund-raising campaign to bring her mother to her Spanish hospital bedside Cally has since been repatriated and is undergoing treatment in Edinburgh.
