YOUNG entrepreneurs from Arbroath were able to get some top business tips from one of the finalists of hit BBC show The Apprentice on Wednesday.

Jim Eastwood who made the final of the series last year was at the Carnoustie Golf Hotel and chatted to fifth and sixth year pupils from Arbroath High School and Arbroath Academy who are studying or interested in business and enterprise.

The event was organised by Angus Council in conjunction with the Business Gateway.

During the session Jim talked about his experience on The Apprentice, which features no nonsense entrepreneur Lord Sugar and his trusted assistants Nick Hewer and Karren Brady.

Jim, who was also told by Lord Sugar that “he was the greatest salesperson he’s ever had”, explained his role in encouraging people to be entrepreneurial and maximise their potential, before answering questions the pupils had.
