ASDA who have recently opened a new petrol station at their Arbroath store have cut 2p a litre off the price of both diesel and unleaded.
From yesterday (Thursday), drivers using the facility at the Westway Retail Park were paying 131.7 pence per litre for unleaded and 137.7 pence per litre for diesel.
Andy Peake, Asda’s petrol trading director, said: “The move shows that Asda is once again leading the way in reducing the price at the pump.
“Unlike other retailers, our price cuts benefit everyone across the country, meaning that no-one filling up at Asda will be forced to play a postcode lottery.”
The retailer says they have already given two price cuts over the last fortnight and added this was due to the latest reductions in wholesale costs.
